Newcomer Supply Embedding Tissue Tampers, 10mm x 10mm
Newcomer Supply’s Tissue Embedding Tampers are unique tools for flattening tissue sections in an embedding mold with ease! The design allows for the end-user to either use a forceps or their fingers to easily control the tampers. The aluminum, one piece handle extends 24mm above the tamper base and comes with a vinyl cap to help remain cool to the touch. There is also an anodized colored surface on the tamper that makes it more durable and corrosion-resistant. The tampers comes in two different sizes to accommodate small, medium and large embedding molds: 10mm x 10mm base (orange) and 16mm x19mm base (green). A combo pack is also available including 1 of each size.
Newcomer Supply Decalcifying Solution, HCL/EDTA, 1 gallon
Use: Excellent for bone marrows. Gentle but quick! Newcomer Supply Decalcifying Solution, HCL/ EDTA, combines acid and chelating decalcifying agents, with an added tartrate buffer for prevention of cellular swelling and distortion. This solution provides rapid decalcification, maintains excellent cellular morphology and is suitable for all bone specimens from bone marrow biopsies and disc material (light bone) to femoral head and long bone sections (compact bone). It is not recommended for use when proteoglycan preservation in articular cartilage is important. Shelf Life is 2 years from date of manufacture. Store at 15-30°C.

The Accu-Edge disposable high-profile blades by Sakura Finetek are compatible with all Accu-Edge blade holders that are specially designed for disposable blades 14 millimeters in height. This product is ideal for microtomy, cryotomy, and sectioning specimens without striations, distortion, or chattering. It is sold in dispensers that can store 50 blades and distribute them in a few seconds. The previously used blade is then automatically ejected.
Vector Laboratories VECTASHIELD® HardSet™ Antifade Mounting Medium With Phalloidin 10 ml
VECTASHIELD®HardSet™ Mounting Medium prevents rapid photobleaching of fluorescent proteins and dyes. After approximately 15 minutes at room temperature, the mounting medium will harden, the coverslip will become immobilized, and optimal antifade ability and refractive index of 1.46 will be achieved. Mounted slides should be stored at 4 degrees C, protected from light. VECTASHIELD HardSet Mounting Medium is compatible with a wide array of fluorochromes, enzymatic substrates, and fluorescent proteins. The refractive index is 1.45. This formulation of VECTASHIELD HardSet Mounting Medium contains TRITC-phalloidin. Fluorescent derivatives of phalloidin are used to stain actin filaments. TRITC (tetramethylrhodamine) is excited at 544 nm and emits at 572 nm, producing an orange-red fluorescence.

O-fix is a tissue fixative formulated with alcohol, formalin and acetic acid. Although it can be used to fix all types and sizes of tissue specimens, it is especially helpful in highlighting lymph nodes by turning them an opaque white.

Leica Biosystems EM-400 Embedding Medium Paraffin - 2 lb bags, 10 per case
EM-400 embedding medium paraffin is a purified paraffin blend with synthetic polymers formulated for histology tissue embedding and routine microtomy. It minimizes compression during sectioning, supports thin sectioning, and remains stable at elevated temperatures to help reduce artifactual tissue distortion.
